36th annual Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 were presented at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 30.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to “Sesame Street” for its 40 years of educating and entertaining children. “The Bold and the Beautiful” won its first Outstanding Drama Series title. There were lots of first-time winners at the Daytime Emmys, including Susan Haskell (“One Life to Live”) as best actress, Tamara Braun (“Days of Our Lives”) as best supporting actress and “Days” co-star Darin Brooks as best younger actor.
